Freshman goaltender Brandon Jaeger (Champlin, MN/Champlin Park) was named the recipient of the Male Freshman Team Sport Athlete of the Year award. Jaeger appeared in 16 games in his first season with the men's hockey team, making 14 starts. He was the team's Rookie of the Year award winner after logging 826 minutes in net, posting a 2.10 goals-against average. He was 7-4-2 and helped the team advance to the league's championship game for the first time in over a decade.
