Sophomore Dan Sullivan (Elkhorn, WI/Elkhorn) was selected as the Individual Sport Male Athlete of the Year. Sullivan was the 2012 NCAA Division III Outdoor national champion in the 1500-meter run. Sullivan, who also competed as a member of the cross country team in the fall, was an indoor All-American as well, finishing eighth in the mile run. Sullivan, the conference champion and current WIAC record holder in the indoor mile run, was named the Midwest Regional Track Athlete of the Year by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. Sullivan was also a member of the indoor national runner-up distance medley relay team.
