University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point Athletics

Monica Preisig, sophomore (Wausau, Wis./Wausau West) and Allie Fortier, sophomore (Rhinelander, Wis./Rhinelander) won their third doubles match of the season with a victory over UW-River Falls.  In a match that was moved indoors due to inclement weather Preisig and Fortier were victorious by a score of 8-6.

Along with her Athlete of the Week award in doubles Allie Fortier, Sophomore (Rhinelander, Wis./Rhinelander), was also named the UWSP Women’s Tennis Athlete of the week in singles.  Fortier notched the second of two UWSP wins in the singles play defeating Taylor Nelson of UW-River Falls 6-4, 7-5.  Fortier has won three of her last four singles matches.
