Mary Welch, freshman (Madison, Wis./ Madison West), had two top-ten finishes in two events this past week.  At the UW-Whitewater Invite, Welch shot an 87 to finish in ninth place.  Two days later Welch took home her first collegiate individual title and led the Pointers to their second team title of the season at the UW-Platteville Invite.  Welch had a two day score of 167, which was four strokes better than the second place finisher.
