Athlete Awards Athlete of the Week Choose Awards Type All Athlete Awards Athlete of the Week Cody Koback Award Athlete of the Week Week Of 4/11/2011 Sport Baseball Bio View Full Bio Cody Koback, junior (Plover, Wis., / SPASH), started the week batting .300 with an RBI and a double in two games at Ripon College. On Saturday against conference foe UW-Whitewater, Koback was 3-6 with three singles and a run scored in two tough games. Sunday Koback was 2-5 in both games with two RBI’s. In the first game Koback tripled in the first inning to give him four triples on the season and nine for his career. In the fifth inning Koback doubled to right center and later scored to give the Pointers the early lead in an eventual 8-1 win. In game two Koback, playing centerfield, singled in the first inning and scored two batters latter. In the eighth Koback hit an RBI triple to finish the Pointer scoring and secure the win. Koback’s two triples on Sunday tied the UWSP season record with five and also the school career record with ten.
