Benoy and Diehl went 2-0 in a pair of duals over the weekend. They won their No. 1 doubles match, 8-3, in a sweep of Edgewood on Saturday. Benoy and Diehl won their No. 1 doubles match in a tiebreak, 8-7 (5) in Sunday’s conference opener against UW-Whitewater.
Logan Homolka (Baseball)
Homolka racked up five hits over a doubleheader sweep of UW-Eua Claire to begin league play on Saturday. He went 4-for-4 in game one with four RBI. In game two, Homolka had another hit, scored a run, was hit by a pitch and stole a base.
Austin Rennhack (Track & Field)
Rennhack led the way for the Pointers in the field events at the Rex Foster Invite. He earned a first-place finish in the shot put with a throw of 16.07 meters (52' 8.75"). He also contributed a second-place finish in the hammer throw with a personal-best toss of 50.62 meters (166' 01").
Derek Penzkover (Track & Field)
Penzkover ran his way to a personal-best mark in the 1500-meter run at the Rex Foster Invite. He placed second in the 1500-meter run with a time of 3:53.93. The time was good enough for 28th in the country and sixth in the conference.
