Thornberry pinned No. 2 Tyler Goebel with just 37 seconds remaining to account for UWSP’s points in the dual against UW-La Crosse on Friday.

Malik Abdul-Wahid, Men's Basketball
Abdul-Wahid averaged 15.5 points per game last week for UWSP. He had 9 points and six rebounds in Wednesday’s home win over UW-Stout. Then on Saturday, he led the Pointers with 12 points at home versus UW-La Crosse with five more boards. For the week, he had 31 points, 11 rebounds, four blocks, three steals and two assists.
 
Fletcher Anderson, Men's Hockey
Anderson scored a goal in each game the Pointers comeback sweep at Northland over the weekend. His goal in Friday’s win was the game winner with just 52 seconds remaining in regulation. Then on Saturday, his goal in the second period tied the game at 3-3, an eventual 4-3 UWSP win.

Josh Brogren, Men's Volleyball
Brogren posted three double-double in four matches for the Pointers last week. 

Dominik Hendrickson and Hayden Schreier, Men's Tennis
Hendrickson and Schreier pick up UWSP’s only win the spring opener on Saturday in Iowa. The duo notched an 8-6 win at No. 3 doubles against Morningside. In the match versus host Coe, they fell, 8-1.
 
Ethan Otto, Men's Swimming
Otto earned top marks for UWSP against Division I Milwaukee on Saturday. He won the 400-yard IM with a time of 4:28.81. Otto also took a third-place finish in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:09.48 and a fourth-place finish in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4:52.30.
 
Tre Sanda, Men's Track
Sanda logged top performances in the field events for UWSP as they took second at the Big Dawg Invite. He compiled an impressive day with a first-place finish in the triple jump with a distance of 13.80 meters (45' 3.50"). Sanda also added a second-place finish in the long jump with a jump of 6.47 meters (21' 2.75").
 
Declan Trant, Men's Diving
Trant logged top finishes against Division I Milwaukee on Saturday. He took third on both boards in the 1-meter dive with a score of 289.43 and in the 3-meter dive with a score of 265.20.
