University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point Athletics

Ryan Iverson, junior (Eau Claire, Wis. / Eau Claire North), Picked up the first save of the year for the Pointers in a 3-1 win over Fontbonne University during the Pointers annual spring trip to Florida.  Iverson registered four strike-outs in two scoreless innings.  Against Grinnell Iverson was again asked to secure a Pointer win.  Entering the game in the ninth with a one run lead, Iverson pitched a scoreless inning for his second save of the trip.  Later in the trip Iverson picked-up his first win of 2011 in a tough 4-2 win over regional rival St. Thomas University.  Entering the game with the Pointers down 2-0, Iverson threw 1.2 innings of one hit ball as the Pointer offense scored four runs to secure the win.
