Lauren Watkins, senior (Baraboo, Wis., / Baraboo), showed her power in the opening games of the 20011 season.  Against Hope College Watkins hit a one-run homer run in a 9-8 Pointer win.  The next afternoon Facing Dubuque Watkins, was responsible for five of the Pointers’ 13 runs.  In the third inning Watkins broke open a scoreless game with a two-run homerun to give the Pointers an earl lead.  The next inning Watkins came up with runners on first and second and hit another blast this time increasing the Pointer lead to seven.  Through four games Watkins is batting .455 with three home runs and six RBIs.
