Pitcher Sara Babbitts, freshmen (Green Bay Wis., / Ashwaubenon), playing in her first collegiate games registered a win and a save over the opening weekend of the 2011 softball season.   In her second start of the season Babbitts, pitched five strong innings scattering five hits while striking out two.  In a close game Babbitts earned her first win as a Pointer.  Entering the game against Finlandia University in a relief opportunity Babbitts kept the Lions off the board during 1.2 innings of scoreless pitching.  Babbitts struck-out three while tallying in her first save of the season.  During action in three games Babbitts struck-out six while only walking two.
