Miller posted a pair of DIII consideration times and broke a school record in helping the UWSP men win the eight-team Wheaton Invitational. He notched a DII consideration time of 20.37 in winning the 50-yard freestyle by nearly a full second. He also won the 100-yard breaststroke with a DIII consideration time of 54.91. His 100 breast time was a school record in the event.

Other Nominees
Jake Buchanan, Men's Basketball
Buchanan pushed his streak to eight-straight games to begin the year in double-figures scoring. He posted a career-high 27 points in an overtime road win at UW-Platteville on Saturday. He was 5-for-5 from the line and shot .563 from the field (9-16) and went 4-for-8 from behind the arc. On Wednesday, he scored 14 points and tied a season-high with two steals at UW-Stout. For the week, he scored 41 points, had six rebounds, four assists and two steals.

Dawson Sciarrino, Men's Hockey
Sciarrino scored the game-winning goal in both games last week as UWSP went 2-0-0 in league play. On Friday at UW-River Falls, he scored his first of the year on the power play to put the Pointers ahead for good. Then on Saturday, he deked UW-Superior goaltender Myles Hektor for the game-winning overtime goal as UWSP completed a comeback from down 2-0 with less than three minutes left in regulation.
