Simmons hit .593 and slugged 1.444 in a career week to lead UWSP to a 7-1 record that locked up the two-seed in the WIAC Tournament. He belted 6 home runs to move into a tie for second in school history. He also hit his 16^th career triple on Friday to tie for the all-time WIAC career lead in the category. He had multiple hits in six of the eight games last week with 10 of his 16 hits going for extra bases. Simmons had 15 RBI and scored 13 runs over the eight games and was a perfect 2-for-2 in stolen bases. He drew 8 walks on the week, including 4 intentional passes.

Ferry went 2-0 with 2 saves in his 4 appearances as UWSP went 7-1 over the final week of conference play. In Monday’s tripleheader sweep of UW-Platteville, he earned the win in two of the games as UWSP rallied from behind to take a late lead in the opener and a walk-off win in the third game of the day. Ferry had 4 strikeouts over 3.2 innings in the 2 wins. Then on Friday, Ferry earned the save in both games of a doubleheader sweep at UW-Oshkosh.  For the week, Ferry had a 1.35 ERA and opposing hitters batted a miniscule .167 against him with 5 strikeouts.
