University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point Athletics

For the second week in the 2011 season Claire Roberts, senior (Oakfield, Wis., / Horace Mann), is the Pointer Women’s Track Athlete of the Week.  At this past weekend’s Pointer Invite Roberts placed first in the mile run event with a time of 4:58.98, almost 18 seconds faster than the second place finisher.  Roberts’s time ranks her as the top runner in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and earns her a provisional qualifying spot in this spring’s NCAA Championships.
