Frierdich notched her second brace in as many league matches, including the match-winner against UW-River Falls on Saturday.  She now has three two-goal games this year, tallying the game-winner in all three.

Rachel Krouse, Cross Country
Krouse, a true freshman from Milwaukee led the Pointers to a third-place team finish at the Oberlin Inter-Regional Rumble with her seventh-place finish in a lifetime best of 22:28.  She was the highest finishing freshman in the race by 20 seconds.  Her performance also helped the unranked Pointers to upset the number 19, 23 and 34th ranked teams nationally. 

Miranda Nieman, Women's Soccer
Nieman kept her second-straight clean sheet in a 3-0 win over UWRF on Saturday.  She made nine saves in the victory, her fourth of the year.  Nieman has three shutouts on the season, two in the last two league matches.
 
Ashley Kopp, Volleyball
Kopp posted double-digit kills in both of UWSP’s three-set matches last week.  She notched 10 kills and hit .320 against Carroll on Friday adding seven digs and two aces.  On Saturday, she led all players with 15 kills against UWW hitting .294 with eight digs and another ace.  Kopp has now served up at least one ace in 14-straight matches and has double-figure kills in 22 of 25 matches on the season.
 
Kaitlyn Hess, Women's Tennis
Hess went 1-1 this week vs. WIAC opponents. She narrowly dropped a 7-5, 4-6, (5-10) decision to Morgan Nelson of Eau Claire on Friday, but came back strong on Saturday to defeat Chloe Struss from UW-River Falls 6-1, 6-1 – competing during both matches at the #4 position. Hess completed the dual match season in singles with a win-loss record of 11-4, competing at spots #1 - #4 throughout the year, with 3 of those defeats coming in 3rd set super tie breaks. She is a major reason why the Pointers set a program record with 16 dual match wins this fall season.
 
Barbara Covek & Jenna Koepp, Women's Tennis
Covek and Koepp went 1-1 this week vs. WIAC opponents. They narrowly dropped an 5-8 doubles decision to UW-Eau Claire on Friday, but came back strong on Saturday to defeat UW-River Falls 8-0, competing during both matches at the #1 position. They have completed the dual match season in doubles with a win loss record of 16-5, competing in every match at the top spot. They are a major reason why the Pointers set a program record with 16 dual match wins this fall.
