Koepp improved to 7-0 on the season, posting a 4-0 record this past week playing in both the #3 and #1 Singles position. Koepp posted a 7-6 (5), 6-2 win over Edgewood this past Wednesday, and followed that up with wins over Lawrence 4-6, 6-2, (10-5) and Ripon 6-0, 6-0 on Saturday playing in the #3 singles position. For her final match in Saturday’s triple header she played in the #1 singles position and posted a 6-0, 6-0 win over 2021 UMAC Player of the Year Maya Callaway. Her efforts have been integral in helping the Pointers to an 8-0 record to start the season, a mark that hasn’t been matched in the history of the program.


Other Nominees
Andrea Tietz, Women's Golf
Tietz paced the Pointers in both events over the weekend.  She placed 28th on Saturday at the UWL Invite.  Then on Sunday, she came in 15th with a round of 87.

Gabby Dunn, Women's Soccer
Dunn factored into three of UWSP’s six goals last week.  She recorded two assists in Saturday’s win over Coe, her first career points.  Then on Sunday, Dunn scored her first goal as a Pointer against Luther.  She totaled 10 shots over the three matches with five on target.

Faith Leithold, & Kaitlyn Hess, Tennis Doubles
Recently paired Leithold & Hess posted a 4-0 record this past week playing in the #2 doubles position. The duo came from behind to beat Edgewood 8-5 this past Wednesday, and were perfect in Saturday’s triple header posting wins over Lawrence (8-3), Ripon (8-2), and Superior (8-0). The pair dropped only 10 games in four matches, and helped the Pointers post a perfect 4-0 record on the week.

Ashley Kopp, Volleyball
Kopp posted a double-double in four of UWSP’s five matches, all wins, last week, just missing the fifth by one dig.  Kopp hit .317 over 17 sets with double-figure kills in all five matches.  She had a season-high 20 kills in a four-set win over Edgewood on Friday.  On Wednesday, she had 18 digs at St. Norbert in her first of four-straight double-doubles to end the week.  Kopp also served eight aces, had five block and an assist on the week.

Emma Peterson, Volleyball
Peterson recorded double-digit digs in all five matches, all victories, last week.  She posted team-highs in digs in four of the five matches, including 19 each against Edgewood and Minnesota-Morris.  Peterson added 16 assists and six service aces to go with 79 total digs.
