Covek won at No. 1 singles against both UW-Oshkosh and UW-River Falls last week via super tiebreaker. In both matches, she rebounded from a set one loss to take set two and the tiebreaker. Against UWO, she won 3-6, 6-3, 10-8 and versus UWRF, she took the match 1-6, 6-2, 10-7. Her wins in both matches helped UWSP record back-to-back 9-0 sweeps

Downie tied for second at the Marian Spring Invite with a round of 81. She helped the Pointers to a third-place team finish, just five strokes back.
Kaitlyn Hess and Grace Henes, Tennis Doubles
Hess and Henes racked up a pair of 8-0 wins at No. 3 doubles against UW-Oshkosh and UW-River Falls last week. The duo has won all four matches they have teamed up for this season and have not lost a point in those four matches.
Elle Maculan, Women's Track and Field
Maculan ran a lifetime best in the 400 hurdles in cold and rainy conditions to win the Platteville Invite with a time of 1:04.46. She has the #1 time in the WIAC by almost 2 seconds and has the #5 time in division III.
Abby Nelson, Women's Track and Field
Coming off an All-American winter wrestling season, Abby Nelson is rounding into pole vaulting shape finishing 2nd on misses at the Platteville Invite in a lifetime best of 3.71 meters, 12’2”. Based on the NCAA tie breaker rules Abby is currently #1 in the NCAA and WIAC.
Rachael Wakefield, Softball
Wakefield collected four hits on the day as UWSP opened league play at UW-Platteville. She scored two runs, including the game-winner in the ninth in game one, and drove in another.
Makenna Tkach, Softball
Tkach picked up her ninth victory of the year with 6.2 innings pitched. She struck out four in the extra-innings win at UWP.
