Leithold helped UWSP improve to 3-0 in non-conference action, the best start since 2010, with a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 3 singles against Marian on Thursday.  Then on Saturday, she forced two tiebreakers before falling at UWEC at No. 3 singles.  Against Alexa Brooks of the Blugolds, she won the second set, 7-6, on a 7-3 tiebreak.  Then in the match tiebreak, she came up just short, 11-9.

Bree Downie, Women's Golf
Downie shot an 88 in her first round as a Pointer.  She finished fifth at the Firebird Spring Invitational, just five strokes back of the event winner.
 

Chloe Leithold and Faith Leithold, Women's Tennis Doubles
The Leithold sisters teamed up for a super tiebreaker win at No.  2 doubles against UW-Eau Claire in the conference opener on Saturday.  The win was an 8-7 final with a 12-10 tiebreak.  The point earned by the Leitholds was the first by UWSP against UWEC since 2010.
