Gehl racked up double-digit kills in all five matches for the Pointers last week and twice recorded a double-double.  She began the week with 26 kills and 19 digs in a four-set win at Lakeland on Wednesday.  She added 20 and 29 kills, respectively, in wins over Elmhurst and Concordia (Wis.) on Friday.  Then on Saturday, she added 10 kills against Ripon and had a double-double versus Bethel with 17 kills and 14 digs.

Kati Frierdich, Soccer

Frierdich netted her first career goal in UWSP’s home opener on Friday, the goal was the game-winner for the Pointers against Macalester.  Later in the match, she added an insurance goal as UWSP won, 3-1.
 

Olivia Piloni, Soccer

Piloni has been solid as a holding mid early in her first season at UWSP.  She aided the Pointers in holding Macalester to just six shots on Friday and her play held St. Olaf to 10 shots in Sunday’s double overtime match.
