Grubbs finished fourth at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in the javelin after entering nationals as the 15th seed in the event.  Her distance of 43.97 meters (144' 3") came on her fifth attempt and is a personal best for the junior.  Last year, she was an All-American in the event with a fifth-place finish.
