Simmons set a single season school record with his eighth triple of the year on Sunday at UW-Stout. His triple conveniently came in the eighth inning and was his fifth hit of the day against the Blue Devils. Simmons hit .500 over the four games last week and extended his hitting streak to seven games. On the year, he has hit safely in 28 of UWSP’s 32 games. Twice last week, once at UW-Oshkosh and once at UW-Stout, Simmons had three hits in a game, the seventh three-hit game of the season. Four of his nine hits last week were extra-base hits and he drove in a team-high four runs.

The 4x400-meter relay team set a PR at the Drake Relays with a time of 3:16.98. The team finished 19th.
