Nelson hit .440 over the six games for the Pointers last week.  His 11 hits led the team and he topped the squad with a .548 on-base percentage and extended his hitting streak to nine games.  In Monday’s series finale against Finlandia, he had three hits, scored three runs and drove in a run in each game.  In Friday’s series opener against Platteville, he went 3-for-5 with five RBI and a run scored.  He hit safely in each of the middle games of the series and collected three more hits in the series finale.  One of those hits was a double in the ninth with a 2-2 count and two outs to keep the game-tying rally going.  He drove in two and scored twice in the extra-inning victory.
