Momont got her season off to a fast start at the Pointer Alumni meet running a lifetime best of 9.14 in the 60-meter hurdles, improving upon her prior best by a quarter of a second. Her performance is the best mark in the WIAC and the 11th-best mark nationally.

Bailee Collins, women's basketball
Collins narrowly missed her second-straight double-double when she scored 19 points and had nine rebounds at No. 15 UW-Oshkosh on Wednesday. Her 19 points were the most by any player in the game. Collins added six points, five rebounds and had a block for the third-straight game against UWEC on Saturday.
Nicole Neuberger, women's hockey
Neuberger scored twice in UWSP's 3-2 win at Aurora on Friday, her first career multi-point game. The victory extended the Pointers' unbeaten streak to four games to begin 2019.
Karen Wethal, women's track and field
Wethal started the 2019 indoor season by winning both the shot put, 13.28 meters, and 20-pound weight, 15.37 meters, at the Pointer Alumni meet. Her marks are currently the best in both events in the WIAC and the sixth-best shot put and the 23rd-best weight performance nationally.
