Gehl racked up two more double-doubles as the Pointers won a pair of four-set conference matches last week. On Wednesday, she had 27 kills, a career-high in conference matches, and added 12 digs in a victory at UW-Stout. On Saturday, she had 23 kills, including the match winner, and 11 digs. She hit .483 over the two matches with just seven errors in 89 attempts. She average 6.25 kills and 2.88 digs per set.

Maddy Hardyman: Hardyman scored a goal and had two assists in a 2-0 week for the Pointers. On Wednesday, she assisted on the game-winning goal versus Carroll in a 2-1 victory. On Saturday, she scored the game-winning goal in the conference opener against UW-Stout. She also assisted on a goal in the win over the Blue Devils. Hardyman ranks in the top-4 in the league in goals (6), assists (6) and points (18).
Sam Shafer: Shafer had an interception for UWSP in Saturday’s conference opener against UW-Platteville. He also added five tackles, two solo, and had two pass break ups.
Kaitlyn Hess: Hess scored three goals in the two wins for UWSP last week, including the game-winner over Carroll on Wednesday. She also aided the UWSP defense to just a single goal against in 180 minutes. In Wednesday’s win over Carroll, she helped the Pointers’ defense limit the Pioneers to just five shots on goal. On Saturday, she assisted the defense that limited UW-Stout to just three shots on goal in a shutout win to open conference play.
Michael Singer:Â Singer blocked a UW-Platteville field goal early in the second quarter to keep it a one-score game.
