Dobbe went 2-1 in singles action last week, only falling in a tiebreaker on Sunday against UWRF. In her first match of the week, she took down her opponent in the No. 2 singles by 6-1, 6-2 score to account for UWSP’s lone point at Marian. She followed that up with a 6-3, 6-0 victory over Lakeland on Sunday to help UWSP register the first win of 2018-19. In her final match on Sunday, she took the opening set against UWRF by a 6-3 score before falling in the second set and the tiebreak.

Brooke Tuszka: Tuszka carded an 83 at the Marian Invitational on Saturday to finish tied for second, just one shot behind the event winner. Her 83 was two shots better than her best score of the season.
Lexi Pawlowski: Pawlowski went 2-1-0 over three matches last week. In Wednesday’s win at Edgewood, Pawlowski guided the defense in front of her that allowed just a single shot in the match in the shutout win. On Saturday, she made eight saves in a 2-1 double overtime win at Wartburg. She made four more saves on Sunday and played all 274:42 over the three matches.
Maddy Hardyman: Hardyman continued to be an offensive force for the Pointers. She tallied a goal and an assist over the three matches last week as UWSP went 2-1-0. On Saturday, it was Hardyman’s goal that was the game-winner in double overtime to lift the Pointers to a 2-1 victory at Wartburg. On Sunday, she rang a shot off the post in the 14th minute that turned into an assist on UWSP’s goal at Dubuque. Hardyman had 11 shots over the three matches with six on goal.
Tara Emme: Emme hit .394 or better in four of UWSP’s six matches last week to help the Pointers go 5-1. In Wednesday’s win over Lawrence, she had six kills and no errors in 15 attempts. On Friday, she again hit .400 with seven kills in a victory over St. Thomas. In Saturday’s first match, she had a career-high 17 kills in a four-set win over Hamline. Later on Saturday, Emme added 12 kills on a season-high .480 hitting percentage in a straight-set win. For the week, Emme had 2.58 kills per set and totaled 17 digs, 11 blocks and four assists.
Elijah Hickman: Hickman played on four phases of UWSP’s special teams in the win over Dakota State on Saturday. He contributed a solo tackles and assisted on another.
Zach Bosek: Bosek chewed up a career-high 150 yards on the ground in Saturday’s win over Dakota State University. On the first offensive play of the game, he rumbled 43 yards to the end zone to put UWSP up 7-0. He rushed the ball 14 times for an average of 10.7 yards per carry.Â
