Simmons hit .375 on the week and scored at least one run in five of the Pointers’ six games. In the opening game of the week, he hit a solo home run at CUW, his second long ball in the span of four days. In game two at Concordia, he was hit by a pitch, drew a walk and scored a run. Then over the weekend at Whitewater, he went 3-for-4 in the opening game. In game two, he scored twice, had a hit, drew a pair of walks and stole a base. Simmons drew two bases on balls in each game on Saturday and came around to score a run in both games. For the week, he had six runs scored, drew seven walks with a slugging percentage of .562 and an on-base of .583.
