Wojt took first in the 200-meter dash with a National leading time of 21.17, breaking his school record of 21.23. He also took second in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.81, placing him 10th nationally.
Other Nominees:
Brent Reierson: Reierson won the discus and shotput with distances of 48.94 meters (160’ 7”) and 15.03 meters (49’ 3.75”) placing him 10thand 29th in the country currently. He also took 4th in his first hammer competition of the year with a throw of 50.39 meters (139’ 4”), placing him 40th in the country. His marks place him 2nd, 2nd and 4th in the conference.
Karen Wethal: Wethal took 2nd in discus with a distance of 42.62 meters (139’ 10”) currently placing her 12th nationally and 3rd in the conference.
Ryan Stanicek: Stanicek belted his first home run of the year, one of his five hits on the weekend. He opened the weekend with a 2-for-5 game with an RBI and a run scored. In game two, he drew a pair of walks and scored twice. On Sunday, he went 3-for-7 over the twin bill with two runs scored in each game. Stanicek also had an RBI, two walks and two stolen bases on Sunday. He led UWSP with a .615 slugging percentage and .385 batting average last week.
Drew Spaeth: Spaeth went 2-0 on the weekend with 5.0 shutout innings in relief. He struck out seven and walked just one with only two hits allowed. Opposing batters hit just .111 off Spaeth on the week. Spaeth won the opening game of the UWP series with 2.0 innings pitched, four strikeouts and one hit against. He won the series finale with 3.0 IP with three strikeouts and just one hit allowed.
