Boivin pinned UWO’s Oscar Ramos in the second period of Monday’s win over the Titans.  Boivin’s fall swung the momentum back in UWSP’s favor after UWO rallied from an 11-0 deficit to close within 11-9.  The Pointers went on to win the dual with two more wins in the next three matches.

Other Nominees: 

Maddie Monroe: Monroe picked a fantastic time to net her first goal of the season as she tallied the game-winner in overtime to propel the Pointers to victory over Marian on Tuesday.  Her goal was her third shot of the game and the only one the Pointers needed in overtime for the win.

Mickey Roland: Roland grabbed a season-high 10 rebounds in UWSP’s win over Lakeland on Tuesday.  Her total is the first double-digit rebounds game this season for the Pointers.  Roland also added six points, three assists and a steal in the victory.  Roland has led the Pointers in rebounds all four games this season and is second in the league in rebounds (33) and rebounds per game (8.3).

Canon O'Heron: O’Heron hit three of his four field goals for seven points in UWSP’s game at St. Norbert on Saturday.  All three of his field goals pulled the Pointers into a tie with the Green Knights.  In 18 minutes off the bench, he had 2 assists with 0 turnovers.  He also turned in a solid defense performance with 2 defensive rebounds, 0 fouls and 1 steal off the bench.  In his role as the first front line substitute, he gave the Pointers a good lift on both ends of the floor.
