University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point Athletics

Uttecht won the individual title at 133 at the Dan Gable Open on Saturday, his first competition as a Pointer.  He went 4-0 on the day with a fall, two decision victories and a 17-2 tech fall win in the finals over Harper College’s Darron Sims.

Other Nominees: 

Max Milosek: Milosek helped guide the Pointers to a weekend sweep in Minnesota, picking up a pair of wins in between the pipes. The senior backstop made 20 saves in the 7-2 victory over Saint Mary’s on Friday, before making a season-high 31 saves in a 2-1 overtime victory at St. Thomas.

Alex Malueg: Malueg helped the Pointers flip the field in his final game with the Pointers.  He had four punts for 163 yards with a long of 45.  He dropped one punt inside the 20.

Steve Herra: Herra led the Pointers in catches and receiving yards on Saturday at UW-Platteville.  He hauled in seven receptions for 90 yards.

Ellie Punnett: Punnett had the lone assist on her teammate’s goal against no. 4/5 UW-River Falls on Saturday.  Her assist was her team-lead-tying fifth point of the year.
