Bosek rumbled through the Adrian defense for a game-high 132 rushing yards in Saturday’s win to move UWSP to 3-0 on the season.  He was handed the ball 27 times in the victory and averaged 4.9 yards per carry.  His longest run of the game was a 22-yard scamper in the first quarter to set up a go-ahead touchdown that would put the Pointers in front for good.

Other Nominees:

Ryan Strick: Strick led the Pointers defense with five tackles in win over Adrian on Saturday.  Four of his tackles were solo take downs.

Tim Crom: Crom saw his first-career action as a Pointer in Saturday’s win against Adrian.  He took over as the primary long snapper and was perfect on both punts and all six point-after attempts.

April Gehl: Gehl recorded three-straight double-doubles over the weekend at the CCIW/WIAC Crossover.  In Wednesday’s conference opener, she led UWSP with 15 kills as the Pointers narrowly missed a five-set road win at No. 11 UW-Whitewater.  She opened weekend play with a 12-kills, 11-dig performance with six blocks against North Central.  Gehl capped off her Friday with a  career-high 23-kill outing in a win over North Park.  She added 12 digs and a pair of blocks against NPU.  Then on Saturday, she wrapped her week with her third-straight double-double racking up 21 kills and 10 digs against Augustana.  She totaled 71 kills, 39 digs, 13 blocks, three assists and three services aces over the four-match week.

Kendra Kundinger: Kundinger recorded double-figure digs in every match again last week.  She now has reached double digits in all-but one match this season.  She began her week with 34 digs at UW-Whitewater.  Then on Friday she added 21 and 19 digs against North Central and North Park, respectively.  Her weekend concluded with a 25 digs performance against Augustana on Saturday.  Her week’s total reached 99 digs over the four matches with 11 assists, two aces and a kill.
