Wethal registered a distance of 12.70 meters on her first attempt in the shot put, a personal best, to win the event at Saturday’s Pointer Alumni and Quad meet. It is the best mark in the WIAC this season and the 15th-best in the nation. She also placed third in the weight throw with a distance of 13.80 meters.
