Hennes started her senior season with a vengeance offensively. She scored in double figures all three games last week propelling the Pointers to a 3-0 start. In Tuesday’s opener, poured in 14 points in her first game since January 9, 2016. On Friday, she upped her point total to 16 while going 7-for-11 from the field. Then on Sunday, Hennes broke out for a career-high 27 points that included 6-for-6 from the free throw line where she sealed the win in the closing seconds. In Sunday’s win, she also tied a career-high by hitting three three-pointers. For the week, she totaled 16 rebounds, had a pair of blocks, had a .900 free throw percentage and averaged 19.0 points per game. Hennes was named the Most Outstanding Player of the Pointers Tip-Off Tournament.
