Strong scored his first collegiate goal as part of a three-point weekend from the blue line for No. 5/6 UW-Stevens Point as the Pointers swept Lake Forest 3-1 and 9-2 in a home-and-home series. The freshman scored his first UW-Stevens Point goal at 17:03 of the second period in Saturday’s 9-2 win as part of a six-goal barrage in the period. He also set up a goal earlier in the period in addition to setting up Lawrence Cornellier’s game-winning goal the night before on the road. Strong was a +4 over the two wins, including a season-best +3 on Saturday night.
