Vosters went 4-0 last week, including the match-clinching win in a conference dual against No. 7 UW-Whitewater on Wednesday evening. With the match locked at 16-16, the sophomore earned a 7-5 decision over UW-Whitewater’s Logan Hanselmann to give UWSP its first win over the Warhawks since Feb. 8, 2008 and snap UWW’s string of 18 consecutive WIAC dual wins. Vosters then went 3-0 at the Candlewood Suites Duals as the Pointers competed against three ranked teams. At the duals, Vosters pinned Scott Smith of No. 19 Cornell at 6:23, earned a 13-4 major decision over Jakob Stageberg of No. 24 Concordia-Moorhead and picked up a 3-1 decision over Jared Parvinmehr of No. 1 Wartburg. The four wins bring Vosters’ season record to 14-2 and both of his losses came against non-Division III competition.
