Walker won the 1,000 freestyle in 10:59.30 in UW-Stevens Point’s season-opening tri-dual against UW-Eau Claire and Division-II St. Cloud State on Saturday. The senior won the event by nearly nine seconds and finished second in the 500-yard freestyle (5:18.44). She also swam the first leg of the second-place 400-yard freestyle relay (3:45.71).
