Piepenbrok anchored fifth-ranked UW-Stevens Point’s defense by averaging 4.38 digs per set as the Pointers went 4-2 in a week that included matches against four ranked teams. Piepenbrok had at least 17 digs in five of the six matches, including 23 against No. 8 Carthage at the Carthage Invitational on Friday. Earlier in the day on Friday, the junior posted 22 digs against No. 13 University of Chicago. At the tournament, Piepenbrok made 81 digs and averaged 4.50 digs per set in four matches against ranked teams.
