Picel registered 63 digs over four matches to help No. 7 UW-Stevens Point open its season with a 4-0 showing at the Ground Round Sugar Loaf Classic in Winona, Minn. on Friday and Saturday. The senior had at least 13 digs in each match as the Pointers won all three matches in three sets. She posted a season-high 20 digs in a win over host Saint Mary’s on Saturday. Picel’s 5.25 digs per set rank second in the WIAC.
