Williams, last year's Male Individual Sports Freshman/Newcomer of the Year, was an All-American in the triple jump both indoors and outdoors this season. The sophomore became the first UW-Stevens Point All-American in the indoor event by placing third (14.58m, 47' 10") at the national championship meet in March. He then came in fifth (14.86m, 48' 9") in the event outdoors in May. Williams also finished 12th in the long jump (6.91m, 22' 8") at the outdoor national championships. The Watertown native was the indoor and outdoor runner-up in the triple jump at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Championships this season and also placed in the top eight in the 60-meter dash and long jump outdoors.
