Gibson had a six-point weekend from the blue line in a pair of conference wins for UW-Stevens Point to help the Pointers secure their first Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Championship since 1999-2000. The senior had a goal and an assist in a 5-3 win at No. 7/9 UW-River Falls on Friday night and a goal and three assists in a 7-0 victory over UW-Superior on Saturday night. The four points against the Yellowjackets were a career-high for Gibson, who leads the nation in points per game by a defenseman (1.12) this season.
