STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point volleyball team recorded 10 service aces en route to a 3-1 (25-12, 21-25, 25-12, 25-20) win over UW-Stout Saturday afternoon.

Cassidy Kohlhagen (Racine, WI/Union Grove) led the Pointers (16-4, 5-1 WIAC) with three aces, two of which came in the first set to give UWSP a 4-0 lead that wasn't surrendered for the entire set.
The Blue Devils (10-9, 2-2 WIAC) held a 22-18 lead in the second set, but the Pointers stormed back as a kill by
Christina Brinkman (Bristol, WI/Westosha Central) made the score 22-21. However, UWS recorded the next three points to win the second set.
Morgan Bartkowiak (Slinger, WI/Slinger) served UWSP to six consecutive points in the third set, giving the Pointers a 10-4 lead that they held on to for the remainder of the set.
UWSP never trailed in the fourth and final set.
Alexis Hartman (Deer Park, IL/Lake Zurich) and
Sarah Wildish (Menomonee Falls, WI/Menomonee Falls) each recorded a pair of aces. Hartman added 10 digs and a game-high 36 assists.
Hannah Picel (West Bend, WI/West Bend West) led all players with 17 digs.
The Pointers travel to Menomonie, Wis. Friday, Oct. 12 for the UW-Stout Tournament. UWSP is scheduled to face St. Benedict at 5:30 p.m. and St. Kates at 7:30 p.m. on the first day of the tournament.
