PLATTEVILLE - It took five sets, but the UW-Stevens Point volleyball team opened the 2009 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) portion of their schedule on Wednesday night with a dramatic 3-2 victory over the Pioneers of UW-Platteville on the road.
The Pointers (4-7, 1-0 WIAC) won by scores of 25-17, 15-25, 25-23, 14-25, 15-12.
