EAU CLAIRE – The UW-Stevens Point volleyball team dropped all four matches this weekend at the 2009 UW-Eau Claire Blugold Invitational at McPhee Physical Education Center. The Pointers fell to UW-River Falls and Lawrence in action on Friday evening and UW-Superior and host UW-Eau Claire on Saturday.

As a team, the Pointers hit .086 on the weekend, winning just two sets, taking one win game from Lawrence and one against UW-Eau Claire.
For the weekend,
Christina Brinkman (Bristol) led the Pointers with 31 kills, averaging 2.21 per game.
Michaela Rheineck (St. Paul, MN) finished the weekend with 25 kills while
Pam Nora (Forest Lake, Minn.) finished with 20.
Chantel York (Lake Geneva) tallied 58 assists on the weekend and
Lizzy Taylor (Eau Claire) led the Pointers with 62 digs on the weekend. Rhieneck also led the Pointers with 10 blocks on the weekend, two solo and eight assisted.
UW-Stevens Point travel to Edgewood college on Wednesday, Oct.28 to face the Eagles and Milwaukee School of Engineering in non-conference action before closing out the regular season at St. Scholastica on Oct. 31 against the Saints and Northwester College.
