"Seventh Annual Put a Check to Cancer"
Join the UW-Stevens Point men's hockey team, Ministry Health Care and Team Schierl Companies for the seventh annual "Put a Check to Cancer" night.
When the Pointers take the ice against Lake Forest College on Saturday, January, 30, at K.B. Willett Arena, they will be wearing special edition cancer awareness jerseys and all proceeds from a silent auction of the jerseys will benefit the Breast Care Center Fund at Saint Michael's Foundation.
Over the years, Put a Check to Cancer has raised more than $20,000 to assist local cancer patients thanks to the support of Pointers hockey fans to the Saint Michael's Foundation.
Once again, Put a Check to Cancer offers the ability to bid on the jerseys in advance of the event via an online auction. With players from 10 states and three Canadian Provinces on this year's Pointers roster, this feature expands Put a Check to Cancer to family members and friends coast to coast. Bids will be accepted online with the final silent auction moving to K.B. Willett Arena the night of the game.

Gifts made to Saint Michael's Foundation's Breast Care Center Fund will help to ensure patients and their families continue to receive quality and compassionate health care for which Ministry Saint Michael's Hospital has been known for more than 100 years.
