STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point wrestling team won both its duals on Saturday, taking down Cornell by a 29-14 score before dispatching of Luther, 26-9.
 
Freshman Matt Berlin (Oak Creek, Wis./Oak Creek) had two falls on the day at 133.  He won in the second period against Cornell and earned the fall in the first period against Luther.
 
Senior Dylan Diebitz (West Allis, Wis./West Allis) won both of his matches at 197.  He won in overtime by a 5-1 decision against Cornell.  Later against Luther, he won by a 6-4 decision.
 
Junior Dan Squires (Muskego, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) also won both of his matches at 184.  He opened the day with a 13-4 major decision.  Against Luther, he rallied for a 12-10 overtime decision.
 
Senior Boone Roycraft (Omro, Wis./Winneconne) earned a 3-1 decision victory in his only action of the day against Cornell.  Jordan Weinzetl (Kimberly, Wis./Kimberly) earned a major decision win against Cornell.  James Borgen (Amherst, Wis./Amherst) also won against the Rams, an 8-1 decision.
 
Bobby Uttecht (Wittenberg, Wis./Wittenberg-Biramwood) won in overtime at 141 against the Norse.  Ross Agg (Oak Creek, Wis./Oak Creek) earned a 6-4 decision against Luther to conclude the day. 
 
UWSP heads to Williamsport, Pa., next weekend (Jan. 12-13) to compete at the Budd Whitehill Duals.
