Shirley Egner announced today (Aug. 16), the finalization of her team's schedule for the 2017-18 season. The Pointers will host 11 games on the season after a 9-3 record at home a year ago.

UWSP opens the season on Nov. 15 with a special 5:45 p.m. tipoff time against Alverno College. The game against the Inferno will be played in Quandt Fieldhouse as part of Family Day.
Following a two-game tournament at Loras, the Pointers return home to face Lakeland on Nov. 21 in Berg Gym. Fans are encouraged to help The Cupboard as the Pointers will collect food to donate to the organization at the game against the Muskies.
The Pointers conclude November with a road game at Carthage on Nov. 29. As the calendar turns to December, UWSP will host two of the first three games of the month. On Dec. 1, St. Thomas comes to Berg Gym. After a trip to North Central, the Pointers host Ripon in the final non-conference home game on Dec. 15.
The year concludes with a trip to Illinois Wesleyan and a pair of games at the Amy Hasbrook Memorial Tournament hosted by DePauw University in Greencastle, Ind.
UWSP opens conference play with back-to-back home games. UW-River Falls and UW-Stout visit Berg Gym on Jan. 3 and 6, respectively. The Pointers then travel to La Crosse and Eau Claire the second week of league play.
UW-Whitewater comes to town as UWSP hosts three of the next four conference games. The Warhawks and Pointers square off at Berg Gym on Jan. 17. After a visit to Platteville, the Pointers wrap the first half of league play at home against UW-Oshkosh on Jan. 24. UWSP host UW-La Crosse on Jan. 27 in the annual Play4Kay game and it will be Alumni Day at Berg Gym as well.
In February, the Pointers host UW-Platteville on Feb. 7 following a trip to River Falls. A pair of road games at UW-Stout and UW-Oshkosh precede the regular season finale, Senior Day, at home versus UW-Eau Claire on Feb. 17.
Last season, the Pointers went 17-9 with a 9-5 record in WIAC action to place third in the league. The Pointers had a pair of four-game winning streaks in 2016-17, Egner's 28th at the helm of the program.
