STEVENS POINT, Wis. – Three former UW-Stevens Point student-athletes received the prestigious Albertson Medallion Award at a banquet held on campus Friday night. Janna Beilke-Skoug (women's hockey),
Taylor Douglas (Brodhead, WI/Brodhead) (women's basketball) and
Kyle Larson (Clayton, WI/Clayton) (football) were among the 26 recipients of the award.

Beilke-Skoug was a two-time All-American for the UWSP women's hockey team. She was the WIAC Player of the Year in 2015 after setting the UWSP record for saves in a season (746). Beilke-Skoug is a the all-time leader with 2,215 career saves, is second in wins with 46 and tied for second with 12 career shutouts.
Douglas was awarded the WIAC Sportsmanship Award in 2016. She started all 26 games during her senior season and was second on the team with 53 offensive rebounds. She was the team's leading scorer twice and led the Pointers in rebounds five times.
Larson earned CoSIDA Academic All-America second team accolades in 2016, his final season at UWSP. He was named Max Sparger Co-Scholar-Athlete of the year and was the WIAC Offensive Player of the Week on Nov. 1 after his third five-touchdown performance of the season.
With this award, the University annually honors those graduating students who have exemplified outstanding qualities as a leader, a scholar, and as a citizen on campus and in his/her community. All three criteria are to be given equal weight. The Albertson Award is given to no more than 1% of those graduating each year.
