STEVENS POINT, Wis. – Senior Logan Hermsen (Amherst Junction, WI/Amherst) pinned his opponent at the 6:13 mark to pick up a crucial six point for the UW-Stevens Point wrestling team, but the Pointers fell to visiting UW-Parkside, 34-12.

Junior Cody Neilsen also earned six points for UWSP by forfeit victory.

Fellow junior Ben Vosters (Hatley, WI/Wittenberg-Birnamwood) fell by an 8-7 decision and senior Boone Roycraft (Omro, WI/Winneconne) took ninth-ranked Brett Scoles to the final seconds in a 3-2 decision.

The Pointers head to Mequon for the Concordia Open this Saturday at 9:00 a.m.  UWSP returns home to begin WIAC action next Tuesday (Nov. 22) at 7:00 p.m. at Berg Gym versus UW-Oshkosh.
