STEVENS POINT, Wis. – Come help the UW-Stevens Point men's basketball team celebrate the start of the upcoming 2015-16 season at the team's Purple-Gold Game on Wednesday, Nov. 4 at Bennett Court at Quandt Fieldhouse.

Prior to the 7 p.m. tipoff, the team will host its 15th annual cookout from 5:15-6:45 at a cost of $6 a person. Admission to the game is free!

Stevie Pointer will be available for photos during the cookout, so don't forget to bring your camera! There will also be a non-perishable food drive for The Cupboard, the UWSP food pantry, and donations will also be accepted for that cause. The Backcourt Club apparel stand will be open, featuring authentic Pointer clothing items.

At the event, the Pointers will receive their 2014-15 national championship rings and will display the championship banner in Quandt Fieldhouse. Head coach Bob Semling will also introduce the players and coaching staff and talk about the upcoming season.
