STEVENS POINT, WIs. – The UW-Stevens Point men's hockey team will make its first appearance in the NCAA Division III postseason in 16 years after earning one of four at-large bids into the 2014 NCAA Championship Tournament.

The Pointers (20-5-2) will make their 10th appearance in program history, the last of which came in 1998, when the Pointers finished as national runners-up.
The Pointers head to St. Paul, Minn., for a quarterfinal round match-up against the University of St. Thomas. The Tommies (21-4-2) earned an automatic qualifying bid to the tournament by winning the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
The Pointers and Tommies met early in the 2013-14 season, a Nov. 15 match-up in St. Paul, with the Pointers earning the 3-0 victory.
