Box Score

UW-Stevens Point (15-2-2) trailed Bethel (3-14-2) 3-2 midway through the third period after Travis Payne's second goal of the game. However, Ladd tied the score with just over eight minutes remaining before scoring the game-winning goal on the power play with one minute remaining.

Henegar and Ladd each scored twice in the game, while Kyle Brodie (Denver, CO/Northglenn), Kevin Gibson (Grosse Pointe, MI/North) and Drew Graves (Allen Park, MI/Allen Park ) all had multi-point games for the Pointers.

Graves scored the only goal of the opening period to give UW-Stevens Point the lead and now has five points in his last two games. Gibson picked up his 11th assist of the year on the goal and extended his point streak to six games. He later added another assist on Ladd's game-tying goal.

A goal from Mitch Hughes and Travis Payne's first goal of the night put the Royals ahead 2-1 midway through the second period. The Pointers tied the score at 2-2 on Henegar's first goal of the night and 11th of the season. Henegar has now scored in three consecutive games.

UW-Stevens Point outshot Bethel 44-16 in the game, led by Gibson's nine shots. Brandon Jaeger (Champlin, MN/Champlin Park) needed to make just 13 saves in the win, while Steven Bolton made 30 of his 39 saves over the final two periods for the Royals.

The Pointers committed just one penalty in the game and killed off Bethel's lone power play. Meanwhile, the Royals committed six penalties and UWSP was 1-for-6 with the man advantage.

UW-Stevens Point travels to UW-Stout next weekend. The Blue Devils handed the Pointers their first loss of the season on Dec. 7 by a 3-2 margin.
