STEVENS POINT, Wis. – Coming off of the program's fifth NCAA Division III World Series appearance, the UW-Stevens Point baseball team is ranked No. 4 by D3baseball.com and No. 6 by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) NCAA Division III poll.

The Pointers (41-11) were ranked just outside of the top-25 D3baseball.com 2013 preseason poll. The Pointers climbed into the top 25 by the poll's third week after opening the season 2-0.

Through the course of the season the Pointers fell out of the top 25 a couple of times, but peaked at No. 16 at the end of the regular season.

UWSP entered the season unranked in the ABCA preseason poll after receiving only three votes. The Pointers didn't reach the ABCA rankings until their 24-7 record was good for No. 29 in the seventh ABCA poll of the season (April 30).

UWSP entered the NCAA Division III Regional Championships ranked No. 18 by the ABCA.
